Touched by the Cross

April 19 @ 9:30 am - April 21 @ 12:00 pm

At Easter, it has become a tradition, for the Combined Churches in the Kentish District to gather together under three large crosses in the grounds of the Sheffield Uniting Church, on the corner of Main and Henry Streets. The three crosses are now recognised as a reminder of the Easter message, and a symbol of how our differences can be put aside. It is inspiring to see regular worshipers, and many other locals who are Touched by the Cross at Easter, moved to hear the good news of Jesus’ love for every one of us, which is the basis of the Easter message. Easter coincides with Mural Fest, so we also share the message with many visitors.

This year, Touched by the Cross, is using different venue. Good Friday and Easter Sunday Services will in the SHEFFIELD TOWN HALL at 9.30 am.

  • Good Friday Service will be led by Tim Dyer, and Andrew Blake will be the speaker.

Buns, coffee and tea will be available after the service.

The combined service will be followed by the Stations of the Cross Service at the Sheffield Catholic Church in Main Street from 11:00am to 12:00 noon.

  • Easter Sunday Service will be led by Debbie Baldock and Bruce French will be the speaker.

Buns, coffee and tea will be available after the service.
