we cannot please everyone all of the time

For me the message from this reading is still about who we place in charge of our lives. 

A wedding banquet – an exciting occasion.

Having times of rest is also a way of reconnecting to God on a regular basis.

Water, such a precious resource in our dry land.  Water, given freely for all to enjoy, essential for life.
