Future signs of the end of the age
How do we interpret this reading? Firstly Jesus did not promise complete physical protection but at the same time Jesus promised that not a hair of you head will perish. How does that sound with a promise of persecution? It was a way of saying that although their earthly bodies could be killed, theit spirits would live forever if they remained true to the faith. They would gain life everlasting.
