The transfiguration of Jesus.- Ex.24:12-18 / Ps. 2 or 99 / 11 Peter 1:16-21 / Matt.17:1-9
This gospel, as does the report from Moses, relate two parallel aspects of life. There is a spiritual dimension to life. In his recent overview of Regenerative Agriculture in Australia, Charles Massey observes that so many of those who have embraced that wholistic way discover a sense of the spiritual. And there is the mountain top / over the fence perspective. One flaw of humanity is that we, so easily, become absorbed in life and loose that broader perspective. When we experience that mountain top view, we too may discover that parallel perspective. We too may discover a new, perhaps spiritual, vision.
