How then shall we live?
We are on a journey in our lives from Shittim (Is there an echo here? A place in the past with our dubious history.) to Gilgal (The first place where we will camp in the land, where we will set up stones to remember.) We are to live as ones on a journey from, moving towards, travelling light.
For Micah we are to do justice, love kindness and walk humbly with our God. Straightforward and simple really.
How then shall we live?
We are on a journey still that calls us to live in a tent, walking amongst others, passing through.
For the Psalmist we are to do what is right, speak the truth, honour the Lord, stand by our promises, lend without interest. Straightforward and simple really.
How then shall we live?
We are moving from the source of our life in Jesus within the presence of God.
For Paul we are to be stumbling blocks, foolish and weak. Straightforward and simple really.
How then shall we live?
We are following Jesus or sitting at his feet.
For Matthew and Jesus it is, Blessed areā¦ Straightforward and simple really.
But, why do we find it so hard?
Why do we make it so hard?
Straightforward and simple, really?
