The Parable of the Persistent Widow (Luke 18:1-6) provides an opportunity for us to reflect on God’s heart for justice. Who in the world is crying for justice? Are we willing to listen and join into prayer and non-violent action? The passage prior to this parable speaks of the kingdom of God being within us. We therefore can be open to knowing God’s priorities, especially for the poor.
